Leez Priory: A Perfect Location For A Picture Perfect Wedding

By Jack F Davis

Leez Priory is an incredibly beautiful Tudor mansion that has become one of the most popular venues for weddings in all of England. Between the gorgeous setting of the house, the perfectly landscaped grounds and the 40 acres of land surrounding it all, this is a location that cannot be beat.

And it will all truly be at your disposal, because Leez Priory will only make the site available for one wedding at a time. There is no worry that you will be competing for space with another bride and her guests.

The special treatment starts from the night before when you can opt for a charming cottage especially for the use of the Bride and Bridesmaids. Whatever you need to make your evening complete can be catered to, such as drinks, food and music. In the morning, you can get ready for the big event here or move to the changing rooms in the manor.

For the civil ceremony itself, there are five different settings that are licensed, including a Tudor Great Tower next to the main house which provides a setting you will not find anywhere else. Meals can be served in either the Great Hall alone for up to 80 guests, or you can add the adjoining Gatehouse for a total of 120 people. The Coach House, which has been recently converted is another option. Here, you can have 110 people all in the same room.

Maybe you would like to invite a few more people to an evening reception? With a number of drawing rooms plus the medieval cellar, the manor will hold 250 guests. Music is easy to come by as well, with a resident DJ. For the select few, Leez Priory has 15 bedrooms, one of which is the bridal suite which boasts a spa bath. In the morning, a full English breakfast will await you in the Great Hall.

With over 20 years of experience to call on, Leez Priory can make your event exactly what you dreamed about. With the sweeping driveway, the lawns, the lakes and, of course, the spectacular manor itself, you could not ask for a more perfect venue for your wedding day. - 2361

Play The UK Lottery

By Tom Martens

Being new to the UK Lottery is no excuse for not playing. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the games and lottery terminology, and you'll soon be on your way to playing.

To begin, there are a number of instant win games to be played online, such as EuroMillions, Dream Number, and Lotto.

You can play up to four lines on a single play slip or up to five slips with multiple tickets. You can play the same numbers for as many as four weeks. All you have to do is match three numbers in the correct combination to win from one of the 12 prize levels. If you match the five main numbers and the two Lucky Star numbers you win (or share) the jackpot!EuroMillions consistently offers huge jackpots thanks to the participation of nine European countries. Jackpots usually start at 9 million and grow as the jackpot goes unclaimed. You play by selecting five main numbers, 1-50, and 2 Lucky Star numbers, 1-9.

Tickets for EuroMillions are sold everyday until 11 p.m., and ticket sales close at 7:0 p.m. for the draw on Fridays. Watch for results on BBC One at 11:35 p.m. Fridays, or you can get results online around 10 p.m.

Lotto works similarly. You can enter your own numbers, 1-49, or, if you're playing online, you can choose "Lucky Dip" for a random number selection. Play as many as seven lines of numbers on one play slip or up to 35 lines on multiple tickets. You can select which draws and the number of weeks you wish to play. You can play as many as eight weeks starting with the next draw date. Winnings are based on the number of matches on your card.

You can also play Dream Number on your Lotto play slip or by itself. The Dream Number is a 7-digit number that gives you the chance to win up to 500,000. There are scores of Instant Win games including those based on Scrabble, Monopoly and those based on upcoming holidays and events. Prizes range from 8,000 to 100,000 and more. Playing is simple and winnings are, obviously, instant!

By learning some of the terms you can get even more comfortable with playing the lottery. Here are a few you should know. A bearer instrument is any item, paper lottery tickets included, that gives the person possessing it the right of ownership. The person who has it in their possession, regardless of who bought the ticket, has claim to any prize won.

Bonus Ball - An additional number selected after the primary numbers are drawn, as in the UK Lotto game. It has no bearing on the winning jackpot number, but can earn a better prize for the runner-up.

RNG - The software that generates the numbers in a random pattern is called RNG, Random Number Generator. Rollover is the term used to describe what happens to a jackpot fund when no player wins it. The jackpot amount is generally be counted for the next draw. - 2361

G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra - The Biggest Hit of The Year.

By Saisha Jones

Were you anticipating yet another G.I JOE movie with all the action & the adventure? Have you been a G.I JOE fan all along?

You will be happy to know that the biggest adventure film of the year is back with a bang. Directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing), G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra stars a hot young cast including Channing Tatum (Public Enemies), Marlon Wayans (Dance Flick), Sienna Miller (Factory Girl), Joseph Gordon-Levitt ((500) Days of Summer), Rachel Nichols ("Alias") and Ray Park (X-Men), as well as veteran actors Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point) and Christopher Eccleston (Gone in Sixty Seconds).

G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a 2009 American live-action film adaptation of the G.I. Joe toy franchise, the story follows two American soldiers, Duke and Ripcord, who join the G.I. Joe Team after being attacked by MARS troops. Filming took place in Downey, California and Prague's Barrandov Studios, and six different companies handled the visual effects.

The plot of the movie begins with the Scotsman Klan McCullen being accused of selling weaponry to both the Scots and French. The jury brands his face with a white-hot mask in order to humiliate him, rather than executing for treason. In the near future, weapons expert James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston) creates a
nanotechnology-based weapon capable of destroying an entire city. His company MARS sells four warheads to NATO, and the U.S. Army is tasked with delivering the warheads. Duke and Ripcord are rescued by Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are delivering the warheads when they are ambushed by the Baroness (Sienna Miller), who Duke recognized to be his ex-fiance Ana Lewis. The warheads are taken to The Pit, G.I. Joe's command center in North Africa, and upon arriving rendezvous with General Hawk (Dennis Quaid), the head of the G.I. Joe Team. Hawk takes command of the war-heads and excuses Duke and Ripcord, only to be convinced to have them join his group after Duke reveals that he knows the Baroness.

In a high stakes pursuit of COBRA, an evil international organization threatening to use a technology that could bring the world to its knees, the G.I. Joe team travels the world from the Egyptian desert to the polar ice caps and the streets of Paris armed with the coolest hi-tech gadgets and weapons, including camouflage suits and jaw-dropping accelerator, G.I. JOE is the last line of defense against those intent on world domination.

The filming of this movie began on February 11, 2008, in Los Angeles, California. The Downey sound-stage was chosen as Paramount needed a large stage to get production underway as soon as possible. Downey also housed Destro's MARS base in the Arctic, his legitimate weapons factory in an ex-Soviet state, as well as various submarines interiors, including a SHARC (Submersible High-speed Attack and Reconnaissance Craft) manned by two G.I. Joes. The first two levels of the Pit were built there, to complement the rest of the building which would be done with special effects.

Six different visual effects companies worked in The Rise of Cobra, the most prominent being Digital Domain, which handled the Paris action, sequences and the opening convoy sequence. For the Eiffel Tower destruction, a special code for depicting how the crumbling metal works was written. To create the digital Eiffel Tower, the technicians had access to the original building plans, and built a digital model so complex that could not fit in a single file. The nanomites used two different proprietary software for their depiction, one by Digital Domain, and another by, which also created tools to generate 3D cloud and sky environments for the aerial scenes. Many scenarios were almost fully developed by computer-generated imagery, such as the landing platform of the Pit, the Cobra ice caverns, and the final underwater battle.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a mind-blowing movie with all the latest effects & adventures. G.I JOE was the biggest hit which ruled the box office for years & its sequel is creating a widespread craze all over. - 2361

Redskins Offense In Disarray As Lewis Takes The Reins

By Ross Everett

The Washington Redskins are a mess right now. Head coach Jim Zorn has a tenuous hold on his job at best and after Sunday's---6 loss to Kansas City was stripped of his offensive play calling duties. Management installed newly hired 'offensive consultant' Sherman Lewis as the new offensive play caller and the team has set up an awkward arrangement for him to get the plays to the quarterbacks. For that reason, starting QB Jason Campbell has some serious misgivings about the efficacy of the setup.

Lewis has only been out of retirement and with the team for two weeks, and has spent this week trying to ingest a crash course on the Redskins' offensive schemes. While he was learning on the job, head coach Zorn was trying to put the best spin possible on what can only be seen as a de facto demotion and vote of 'no confidence':

"I need to have composure. I need to understand what the reality of the situation is, and I think our players expect me to rise up. We expect them to play under adverse conditions. We expect them to risk it all. ... I'm conscious of what's going on. I'm not naive about what's going on, and yet I have to just hold back on any feelings and make the decisions."

Quarterback Campbell is more concerned about the convoluted system of getting plays from Lewis to him:

"There'll probably be a couple of plays I have in my head just in case if some reason it doesn't get in on time."

Here's how things are supposed to work-Lewis will sit in the coaches' box above the field and read the plays off a sheet. While Lewis has years of experience working in the so called 'West Coast Offense', Zorn left doubt that he really knows what he's doing at this point stressing that Lewis "doesn't know the protections" and "doesn't know the blitz schemes." Nevertheless, he'll be running the offense when the Redskins take on Philadelphia this Monday night.

Once Lewis figures out what to call, that's when it really gets tricky. He'll relay the plays via headset not to Zorn but to offensive coordinator Sherman Smith. Smith will then inform the quarterback what to run. Zorn is left in the role of a passive bystander on offense, though he will listen in to the playcalling on his headset.

Backup quarterback Todd Collins also shared his concern with the new arrangement:

"It is unsettling. I've never gone through this before. I've never had a play caller get changed in the middle of the season."

Lewis didn't exactly evoke a lot of confidence upon his hiring, where he revealed that he'd been calling bingo games at a seniors' center to kill time since his retirement in 2004. Still, Collins gave him a guarded vote of confidence;

"I know he's been studying last year's game against the Eagles and seems to have a pretty good idea how he wants to call the game this week. It's the same plays. He might coach them a little differently or highlight some different areas, but the offense hasn't gone under an overhaul or anything like that."

The Redskins haven't scored more than 17 points in a game this season, so maybe the thinking is that things can't get any worse. - 2361

NHL Scoring Machine: Phil Esposito

By Ross Everett

Although many of his offensive records have now been left in the dust by Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, former Boston Bruins/New York Rangers center Phil Esposito is still regarded by hockey experts as one of the greatest players in NHL history.

Esposito was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and his prodigious hockey talent quickly became apparent. He was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks as a teenager, and made his NHL debut in'64 quickly earning a spot on the teams top line between Bobby Hull and Marcel Dionne. In'67, Esposito was traded to the Boston Bruins along with Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield. Within a few years Hodge and Stanfield blossomed into All Stars, while Esposito quickly took his place alongside his former teammate Hull as the best scorer in the league. Suffice to say that Boston fans were of the opinion that theyd gotten the best of the deal.

It wasnt long before Esposito started to destroy long standing NHL records. In'69, he became the first NHL player to top the 100 point mark (combined goals and assists) for the season"he obliterated the record with 126 points, which would be the first of six times that hed top the century mark. He topped 100 points in five straight seasons between'71 and'75, missing a sixth straight season by a single point with 99 in'70. Bruins fans were fond of displaying car bumper stickers that read Jesus Saves; Esposito scores on the rebound.

Esposito's greatest single season was in'70-71, when he destroyed the NHL's single season goal scoring mark with 76. That record stood until Wayne Gretzky of the Edmonton Oilers broke it in'81-82. Even now, only four other players including Gretzky have scored more than 150 points in a season and only five others have scored more than 76 goals in a season. Perhaps the most amazing element of Espositos game was the frequency with which he put the puck on net"Espo had 550 shots on goal in'70-71. No one has since come close.

In'75, Esposito was traded with Brad Park to the New York Rangers for Brad Park, Joe Zanussi and Jean Ratelle. He had slowed somewhat, but was still enough of a valuable player and team leader that he was named the Rangers' captain. He remained a very dangerous scoring threat until the end of his career.

After his retirement in'75, he remained active in hockey. He served as the GM of the Rangers before helping secure an expansion team for Tampa, Florida in'92. Esposito served as the President and GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning until'98. Esposito now hosts a daily hockey radio show on XM Radio, and has even done some acting appearing in a recurring role as a fire chief on the TV series Rescue Me. - 2361

How To Pick An Event Photographer

By Lady Frank

Occasions like an important symposium or a major client visit come rarely, and it is critical to keep a record of such events in the form of pictures, which you can later use for both internal and external distribution. To get these images, you need event photographers.

Event photography is quite different from regular photography or even professional photography in a studio environment, as the photographer does not have any say in the happenings of the event. The task involved in capturing an event asks for experience and professionalism on part of the photographer and not everyone can do a good job at it. But the key thing is, an event photographer hardly ever gets a second shot.

Quite obviously, you have to be aware of several aspects while picking an event photographer to cover a corporate occasion. As important corporate events are usually held indoors, he must know how to set his camera accordingly. Even a very good photographer would be of no help if the equipment is not up to the mark, so you must ask for top-end equipment.

You will avoid a lot of trouble if you go to a good agency, which will offer you the services of a trained professional. You can enquire with the photographer whether he has worked on similar events before to ensure that he will be capable of handling the situation well. Getting quality related information from the photographer's past customers can also be of help.

Lastly, you should attempt to acquaint yourself with the selected corporate photographer and let the photographer know your requirements in detail. This is important, because any lack of communication can prove to be costly. Such a conversation will also allow you to understand how capable the photographer is, and how much at ease he would be at the event. In addition, a detailed discussion would put the event photographer at comfort and he would be able to deliver his job adequately well done. - 2361

Simple Ways Of Experiencing Amazing Lucid Dreams!

By Colleen Rikke

Very simply put, a dream in which you are conscious that you are dreaming is known as a Lucid Dream. The expression 'lucid' in this context means aware or conscious. But the extent of your 'lucidity' can vary according to how 'stable' the dream experience itself is, how much you manage to remember about the dream when you wake up, and also how much influence you have in taking control of the dream itself.

Control over your dream is the most important element of Lucid Dreaming. It is an incredible experience to be in the midst of a dream and to know that you are in fact dreaming. You are in control of everything in your dream and can have any experience you choose to have.

Just consider that for a moment. Lucid Dreaming looks, feels and engages all of your other senses as if it were really happening but you know that you are only dreaming and will be totally safe no matter what you do. This is the kind of virtual reality experience which computer experts can only dream of creating!

Lucid dreaming is an incredible skill that more and more people are mastering. Having a Lucid Dream is something almost everyone experiences very occasionally, but just imagine how exhilarating it would be if you could Lucid Dream whenever you want to!

Lucid Dreaming gives you the opportunity to have any experience that you can think of. You can meet anyone you ever wanted to, visit other planets, have unbridled erotic experiences, speak with the loved ones you have lost; anything you can imagine can happen.

But experiencing regular and controlled Lucid Dreams can actually be fairly complicated to achieve. Certainly until recently people would spend months going through an instruction training and self-conditioning procedure prior to obtain familiarity to their first lucid dream. Often people would manage to have but brief instants of lucidity, whereas others never succeed in it at all.

So are there any simple ways of experiencing a Lucid Dream?

Many people feel that particular foods can encourage or induce a lucid dream. You should try these immediately before going to sleep. Orange Juice, Milk and Cheese and also Mustard have been reported as being good things to consume for the best results.

Also recommended by some are ice cream, popcorn, pickles and fish. Some people say that these foods are ideal for preparing your mind for Lucid Dreaming - but of course, many of these are high in salt and fat, which isn't very conducive to a good night's sleep.

Can Technology Help You?

New technologies can make it somewhat easier to experience Lucid Dreaming. There are devices which can help to stimulate you to have Lucid Dreams such as eyeshades and sleep masks which activate a LED when rapid eye movements are detected. This light reminds you that you are dreaming; letting you take control of the dream!

Another of the new developments is an audio technology known as binaural beats. Different frequencies are played in each ear of the listener; this has been found to be helpful in achieving Lucid Dreams.

These binaural frequencies synchronize the hemispheres of the brain; by listening to these frequencies, the brain is helped to achieve REM sleep, the sleep state necessary for Lucid Dreaming.

If you have always wanted to experience Lucid Dreaming for yourself, binaural sound presents the quickest and easiest way to begin. - 2361

Minnesota Loses First Game of Season

By Ross Everett

Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings are undefeated no more. The Pittsburgh Steelers' used a couple of big plays from their defense in the fourth quarter to break open a close game and defeat the Vikings by a final score of 27-17. Favre put up decent yardage in the loss, throwing for 334 yards but had no touchdowns and an interception.

NFL pointspread players who backed the Steelers as -6 home favorites were rewarded with the cover. Pittsburgh had only covered one of their first six games heading into the contest, and the win improved their record against the number to 2-5. Minnesota dropped to 4-3 against the spread with the setback.

The Steelers largely shut down Minnesota's rushing game, holding Adrian Peterson to 69 yards. Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark underscored his team's dominance against the run:

"That's the biggest point of the game. You have the best running back in the world and you don't give it to him. They're saying they can't beat us running, and that's a major statement when you have the guy they have back there."

Favre gave a mealy mouthed justification for the loss in his postgame interview:

"There were a lot of what ifs, a lot of reasons we didn't win. The red zone was one of them. They're physical, and they were as good as we thought they'd be. ... When I came here and looked at our schedule and saw the Steelers game, I went, 'Oh-h-h.' "

Favre has only thrown three interceptions in a Vikings' uniform, but #3 was a costly one as it was returned by Steelers' Keyaron Fox for a touchdown to put the game out of reach as Minnesota was driving for a potential game tying field goal. Afterwards, Fox recalled the play:

"Brett tried to force it in there and the running back bobbled it and slipped out of his hands and it fell into my lap. I had just run across the field after Peterson and I was winded, so it felt like it was 100-plus yards."

The Vikings now face another big game next week as they head to Favre's old stomping grounds in Green Bay for a battle with the Packers. It'll be Favre's first appearance at his old home in an enemy uniform. The Vikings will then have a bye weekend before hosting the lowly Detroit Lions on November 15. Pittsburgh will enjoy a bye week this week before returning to action on Monday, November 9th facing the Denver Broncos on the road. - 2361

The MMA Legacy Of Helio Gracie

By Ross Everett

Helio Gracie--patriarch of the legendary Gracie MMA family--died earlier this year in Rio De Janeiro at age 95. His influence on martial arts, and even more so the sport that is known known as mixed martial arts, is staggering. The Gracie family name will forever be synonymous with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA and the UFC due to the accomplishments of Helio Gracie and his progeny.

Helio Gracie began studying martial arts early in life, and by the age of 16 had already begun to teach judo in his native Brazil. While Helio had no problem mastering the theoretical aspects of judo, he found that many of its techniques required a great deal of brute strength which made them less effective for a smaller fighter such as himself. Along with his brother Carlos, he began to adapt many of judos techniques to make them more reliant on leverage rather than strength. This experimentation led to the creation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) which is often referred to as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in his honor.

Gracie also had a professional fighting career of his own, taking on champions from other fighting disciplines in an early version of modern MMA. These bouts were grueling, unregulated affairs with rules that were often made up as they went along and time limits that seem barbaric by todays standards. By his own recollection, he had 15 fights against the top fighters of his day. These included pro wrestlers, boxers and other martial arts specialists.

Gracie's most famous opponent was against legendary Japanese judoka Masahiko Kimura. Gracie fought bravely in a losing cause, and ironically may have enhanced his reputation in defeat. He refused to submit to a reverse arm bar (the move that is now known as a 'kimura' in honor of its inventor), and the fight ended after his brother Carlos threw in the towel after Helio's arm had been broken.

Gracie's greatest impact, however, may have been through his progeny which is an important part of Brazilian sports and mixed martial arts even today. Royce Gracie is well known as the first UFC superstar, while sons Rickson Royler, Renzo have also achieved considerable fame in professional MMA. At the time of his death, Helio Gracie was a 6th Dan Judo black belt and the only living 10th degree master of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Gracie died at age 95, after suffering stomach problems though the cause of his death was officially listed as 'natural causes'. His last words are classic and highly fitting for a man who gave so much to martial arts and fighting sports:

Gracie's last words are as follows:"I created a flag from the sports dignity. I oversee the name of my family with affection and nerves of blood. - 2361

The Success Mindset - Cosmic Ordering

By Anne-Marie Laureaut

Today many people are searching for a way to improve their lives. To live a more fulfilled life, where they are able to have the things they want and enjoy what it is they have. There are many options out there that promise to help you manifest your dreams, but none that work as well as cosmic ordering.

Cosmic ordering refers to a spiritual process in which the universe will give to you what you ask from it. You ask or order for something and it will be given to you. Although it is a spiritual process you need not be a saint and always do good deeds to get what you ask for. It is a benefit for sure but not a necessity.

Cosmic ordering, very simply is the spiritual manifestation of your dreams and desires. You can ask for anything from the universe. A change in your life or perhaps a change in situation, which will help you to attain your desired objective.

Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer opine that to place an order in the universe you must be in an invisible energy field which they call the 'field of intent'. This field is where our spirit connects with the universe and returns conscious desires.

This is actually not a fresh concept, in fact most of us have done so sometime or the other without registering it formally in our minds. There must have been times when your requirements were fulfilled once you had voiced your wants to the cosmos. This cannot be termed as a mere coincidence! It was indeed a spiritual design.

For cosmic ordering to work, you must have the power of intention, that is, you must really believe that what you are asking for is what you deserve.

Merely saying that you want a new car or that you want a promotion is not enough. You must believe deep down in your heart that you deserve them. If you don't believe or don't put in any effort, in all likelihood you will not be getting them.

Cosmic ordering isn't really very hard. But of course, like everything else, it has its downsides as well. If you think about and believe in negative things, those things will be manifested.

For example, if you think and believe that you are going to get fired, you probably will. So think positively and focus on what you really want.

Most people spend so many years in an unhappy state of mind that it is difficult for them to believe that they deserve good things and a change of circumstance.

Sometimes your own subconscious mind works against you and tries to keep things in your life the same as they are now.

For real success at cosmic ordering your subconscious mind needs to be prepared beforehand to accept that it is okay for you to change your life and receive everything you want.

Communicating with the subconscious mind is not that difficult. It can be done through simple affirmations, meditation and self hypnosis. Changes have occurred in the lives of many people by using cosmic ordering.

People have completely changed their lives using cosmic ordering. Isn't it time that you lived the life that you really want? Here is your chance, using cosmic ordering to enjoy a truly fulfilled life. - 2361

Opera Glasses, A Good Way To See All The Action On Stage From Far Away

By Jeff Bridges

Opera Glasses are similar to binoculars but they are made for being able to see performances on stage. In old opera houses seats placed in balconies that were subsequently cheaper were very far away from the stage. In some they were so far away on the figures could be seen from that distance but seeing facial features, and thus part of the acting, was impossible to make out. Opera glasses would enable those people in the peanut gallery to see on stage much better to the point of seeing the facial expressions of the actors or singers. They have been popular since the 50's.

Opera glasses are not the same as binoculars because they are much smaller and are usually nicely stylish. There are some brands that look like a flat case that fit into a woman's evening bag or in a jacket pocket that pop up like an accordion. There are also those that fold in on themselves and can be carried unnoticed. Some are held up with a single rod called a lorgnette enabling a person to hold with only one hand instead of using both hands. The rod also folds up to hide it well when not in use.

You can purchase opera glasses easily these days. You can get an inexpensive model for about $50 to $100 US dollars but there are those with better optics are much more expensive. Expensive models will be more stylish as well. Antique opera glasses are often much more expensive merely because they are antique and most often much more ornate. Try them out to make sure they give you the magnification you need and are still in operating order.

Some theaters give you the opportunity to rent opera glasses for a small fee. If you are an opera or theater enthusiast that attends regularly you may want to have a pair of your own, but if you one go once in awhile renting them is a good option. If you want to buy your own it is a good idea to try out the rented ones to see what you prefer. You may like the ones you hold one handed with the rod or you might like the ones you use like binoculars. You might find out you don't even want to use them.

Binoculars differ from opera glasses in magnification. The system used in opera glasses is a simple system whereas that used in binoculars is quite extensive. The system used in opera glasses is based on the simple system invented by Galileo called the Galilean optical system. The images will not be as sharp with opera glasses but you can still see most of what you need to on the stage

China is the major producer of opera glasses today. They usually have a 3 X magnification that is good for a concert hall or big auditorium. Some go up to 5 X but they tend to cost more. Some come equipped with a center focus and others don't focus at all. The ones that do not focus usually have a small LED light that is placed between the barrels for the eyes. It helps you to read the program in dim lights without bothering the person in the seat next to you. People with good vision have no problem with these but if you do wear glasses or contacts you might want to look into the focusing type. There is a mechanism for the focus in the focusing opera glasses that takes the place of the light. You can use them with corrective lenses or without.

Opera Glasses usually are accompanied by a case and especially look for this in the vintage ones. Some are soft sided and others hare hard and can be lined with velvet. Some antique glasses are made of ivory or enamel with cloisonne and they may be bejewelled or framed in gold or silver. Old ones were very beautiful and elegant. Either vintage or modern glasses make a great gift for those who love the ballet, opera or theater. - 2361

What Factors To Consider When Buying Cheap Acoustic Guitars

By Steve Murray

One of the reasons for the cost of an instrument being high is due to the material used for making them. Certainly the better quality ones will often have been made using wood. But although there are guitars made out of other materials such as graphite or plastic wood is also used to make cheap acoustic guitars, which will still have the sound you are looking for.

Those people who choose to buy a guitar which is not made from wood often find themselves becoming frustrated because it does not produce the right kind of sound. It is these people who will often give up learning to play the guitar. So rather than spending money on a cheap one instead invest a little more in an acoustic guitar that has been made from wood. Although you will not be saving yourself money you will enjoy playing it much more.

When you begin your search for a cheap acoustic guitar it is best to look for those which come with a solid wooden top rather than being made from plywood. The reason for this being that those made using solid wood provide a much richer and fuller tone to the sound that they produce. Also when buying an acoustic guitar purchase one that has both a solid wood back and sides.

One such guitar you may want to consider is the Seagull S6. Which is not the cheapest acoustic guitar you can buy, but it is value for the money. It has a solid wood cedar top whilst the sides and back are made using mahogany and it is these which help it produce such a beautiful sound. In fact this is a guitar that even professional musicians will keep, even though they may have several other and more expensive guitars in their collection.

You can expect to pay around $400 to $500 for this guitar, but if you are really serious about learning to play the guitar then it is wise to invest a little extra in the instrument you buy. However, if you search online you may well find that you are actually able to get some really great deals on this guitar if you spend time looking for it.

Along with the Seagull S6 another very good acoustic guitar to consider purchasing and which is costs less is the Yamaha F310. Rather than a solid wood cedar top this has a spruce one instead. But as with the Seagull S6 this guitar has a mahogany back and sides. On average you can expect to pay between $150 and $200 for this particular guitar and is a very common choice for those people who are serious about learning to play the guitar.

Along with the Yamaha F310 there is also the Epiphone DR-100 which costs slightly less and prices range from $120 to $150 for this particular model. But although it costs less than the Yamaha F310 it is actually made from the same kinds of wood, spruce for the top of the guitar and mahogany for both the back and sides. Of the three guitars we have mentioned this is the ideal one to purchase if you are still unsure as to whether this is the right musical instrument for you or not. But if you do purchase to learn to play the guitar then at some point in the future you will find that you need to upgrade to a better one.

Although there are lots of different guitars available which can be purchased for less than $100 these are not the type that you should be buying when learning to play the guitar. The reason being is that you will find that the sound they produce is terrible because of the materials they have been made from. Which as many others have found results in them finding it difficult to play and so decide to give up learning how to play them altogether.

So if you are really serious about getting a cheap acoustic guitar either for your self or your child to play then avoid those in the $100 or less range. Rather if your budget is somewhat restricted go to your local music or guitar store and see if they have any second hand ones for sale. Often you can pick up a really good but cheap acoustic guitars that you can then try out before making a purchase. - 2361

Del Mar: Southern California's Horse Racing Capital

By Ross Everett

Southern California's Del Mar Racetrack has been is often overshadowed by East Coast venues like Churchill Downs and Belmont Park. The reality is that the 72 year old track has a history to rival their better known counterparts that includes the greatest horses and jockeys in the sport, as well as a healthy dose of show biz glitz. Operated by the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and located 20 miles North of San Diego, its perhaps most famous for its iconic slogan: "Where The Surf Meets the Turf."

The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club was founded by a group of well heeled enthusiasts in the mid'30s, and they immediately turned their attention to building a world class horse racing venue. The names that were instrumental in the creation of Del Mar include a whos who of American entertainment--most notably Bing Crosby, Oliver Hardy (of Laurel and Hardy) and Jimmy Durante. At the time the facility opened thoroughbred horse racing was the second most popular sport in America behind major league baseball, and Del Mar quickly gained a reputation for being a player in the industry.

Additionally, the star power involved with the project also provided a trendy cachet that the tonier race courses back East lacked. Bing Crosby himself greeted patrons at the gate on opening day, and during the late'30s and early'40s it became a place to be seen for Hollywood A-listers and those who aspired for celebrity. In addition to known gambling enthusiasts like W.C. Fields, Edgar Bergen and Red Skelton, the Del Mar patrons during that time also included some of the top female stars of the era including Ava Gardner, Paulette Goddard and Dorothy Lamour.

In'38, Del Mar hosted an internationally anticipated match race between Seabiscuit and Ligaroti. This event drew a record crowd and gained worldwide notoriety for the track. Seabiscuit won the $25,000 winner-take-all duel by a nose, and would forever be enshrined in the annals of American popular culture. Horse racing at Del Mar continued to be a smash until the facility went dark in'41 due to World War II. It would remain closed until'45, and for a time was used as a training facility by the military.

After the war Del Mar didn't miss a beat, and reopened the day after Japan surrendered to Allied Forces in Tokyo Bay. That day drew over 21,000 fans to the park and set a new wagering record of over $950,000. The track flourished during the post war economic boom years, and improved transportation between the major urban centers in Southern California--along with a new crop of stars including Mickey Rooney, Jimmy Durante and Desi Arnez, Jr.--kept the track in the limelight.

Even though the popularity of horse racing among the mainstream populace would ebb over the years, Del Mar remains a viable part of the thoroughbred community to this day. Theyve updated their facility, with a state of the art grand stand and most recently a synthetic polytrack surface that was installed in 2007. The racing season at Del Mar begins in mid July, and hosts crowds of 20,000+ on a daily basis throughout. - 2361

Secret Law Of Attraction Puts Success Within Reach

By Leona Claives

The universe is full of forces and vibrations. Many of these have already been discovered by scientists. They are incredibly powerful forces that shape our physical lives for example gravity. There are however other forces which are responsible for creating reality. Now imagine how much you could achieve you were able to harness these natural forces for your own purposes. With the secret law of attraction, you can do just that.

Your mind is actually a very powerful tool for achieving your goals. Perhaps you were told to visualize the ball going into the basket when you were learning to shoot free throws.

If you are planning on making the law of attraction work for you, you need to train your mind to use it. The first step in your training is to have only positive thoughts. This is actually more difficult than it sounds. You need to take all the doubts and secret fears you hold in the back of your mind and sweep them clean away.

For most of us, we have been trained to think poorly of our abilities. At some point in our lives we have been told we aren't good enough, smart enough, or talented enough to accomplish our goals.

You need to do a lot of soul-searching, figure out the parts of yourself that you don't like and either fix them or come to love them indiscriminately. In order for the law of attraction to work for you, you need to be full of positive energy and confidence.

Within the universe like objects are often attracted to other like objects. So if you want to pull all kinds of positive energy toward yourself, you need to train your mind to become a positive magnet. This means that only good thoughts and emotions should be coming out of you. Retraining yourself to be a truly positive person takes some work. Most of us use cynicism as a shield against the hardships of daily life.

We crack self-deprecating jokes and don't set our expectations too high so that we won't get disappointed. However, if we can learn to release all of our doubts and fears and only view ourselves in a positive light, then the sky's the limit. Take some time every day, say at least twenty minutes, to sit still and concentrate on what a good person you are. It may take one or many months, but eventually you will believe it.

After you have this amazing ball of positive energy it is time to project it on your goals. Simply visualize yourself getting what you want and focus all of your energy into that visualization. Once that is achieved act as though the object of your desire is already in your grasp. Since you have the powers of the universe backing you up, it shouldn't be that long before you have achieved your goals. Even though mental training can be somewhat difficult, if you are looking for a method to turn your life around focus your energy on the law of attraction. - 2361

Bridal Photography - A Different Perspective

By Roger Wong

Wedding photography includes pictures of the couple before the marriage, as well as coverage of the actual wedding event and reception. The two approaches in wedding photography are traditional and photojournalistic. Traditional bridal photography consists of classically posed images. In this approach, there is much interaction with the photographer on the day of the wedding. In the photojournalistic approach, the images recorded are much more subtle with less photographer interaction. These two approaches are the two extremes of photographic styles. Today most photographers will side with one of the two styles.

There are certain things to keep in mind while hiring a photographer to cover your wedding. Every photographer possesses an individual style. It takes some research from your side to decide who you want to photograph your wedding. It is recommended to start looking for the right photographer well ahead of time. If you are hiring a wedding photojournalist to cover your wedding, it is recommended that you focus more on the creative side than on the business process involved. One shouldn't be concerned about comparing various package details or the number of prints he is going to get. Once you have chosen a photographer for the job, take care of all minute details then and there so that the photographer you hired is not preoccupied about with thoughts of collecting his payment, on the wedding day.

Don't boss your photographer around all the time. Nobody wants to be pushed around, not even your photographer so ask your guests to be polite as well. No photographer likes to be directed as to what to shoot and how to do it. The more there's third party interaction, the less creativity in the photography. Sometimes the relatives and friends are so preoccupied in instructing the photographer that they almost miss the entire wedding.

Go for trust on your big day with your photographer is one of the best tips to give. Trust allows natural expression to flow from everyone. After all you want the day to flow with joy and fun so trust is a prerequisite for that to happen.

Most importantly, do not starve your photographer. On a interesting point - always make sure your photographer is fed! He would be the last person you want to starve. Do not give your photographer long lists of things to do. He might not get what you actually hired him to do. - 2361

Affordable Wedding Photography

By James Wong

Your special day may be a dream you have held for a long time; you want everything to be just perfect - and why not - from your venue to your flowers, dress and makeup and everything else in between. But, for most people, even though is is a very special day you will still have a budget to work to. And when it comes to top-range services such as wedding photography, staying focused on the budget can be hard. However, with a little bit of research, forward thinking and planning, and a vibrant dose of flexibility, you will be able to keep within budget for sure to ensure you have an affordable wedding while creating the memories you deserve.

Finding affordable bridal photography can be achieved in a number of specific ways. So read on.

Starting with word of mouth is a smart place to start. Talk to your friends or associates that have held wedding days similar in size and outline to what you are planning to decide what professional photographers worked well within their set price target.

Check with your wedding reception venue. They will know many great professional. Within five minutes you could walk away with a list of twenty great companies to call.

Think about using a professional wedding planner. It could be the best budget choice you make for your wedding. They are professionals and know the best people to work with and how to keep on budget.

But when it comes to inexpensive bridal photography, sometimes restricting the range and type services you require rather than choosing a low-priced photographer will help you stay within your budget limit - more is not always better and at the end of the day having high quality is better than high quantity. If you have your heart set on a specific wedding photographer that works in a way you love, then compromise to get to the price that you need; perhaps have the photographer only take your ceremony and official shots and then ask your guests to help take snaps throughout your reception to be collected into an album at a later date.

One really easy idea that is also fun too is to provide your guests with throwaway cameras. This gives your guests more of a feeling of involvement and you will also receive a wide range of photos that would not be taken by a professional.

Another great and creative tip is to invite your friends to do part of the wedding preparations for you such as the flower display. Not only is this a great way to involve your friends you can ask them to not give bridal gifts but to do something else instead. And seeing many wedding gifts end up not being used then this can be a great idea. Instead your friends will probably be thrilled and delighted to be asked. This will heighten your wedding experience for everyone and save you money.

At the end of the day, affordable bridal photography is about creativity and flexibility, time and energy. Being willing to work out of the box and think of small and often imaginative ways to save money, finally all those small steps will add up to big savings. - 2361

Take Your Company Public: Take Your Real Estate Business Public

By James Scott

Are you trying to raise capital for your business? Have you been turned down by institutional lenders for loans and corporate lines of credit? Why deal with the hassle and embarrassment of perpetual declines and risk losing your business because of lack of cash? Wouldn't it be great to raise capital quickly and easily for your company without constantly having to fill out scores of credit applications to stay afloat?

The important thing to realize is that if you are a small or medium size business and even if you are a start-up you can take your company public on OTCBB. When going public you really have two viable options: first, most people consider the IPO, but very few qualify because of the necessity of massive amounts of capital in reserve, SOX 404, extensive time in business and finding a broker dealer to take you through the process; the second option is taking your company public OTCBB (over the counter bulletin boards), this process is inexpensive, lightning fast, minimal qualifications and offers start-ups and small/medium size business the ability to raise gargantuan amounts of capital from investors worldwide.

There is no other way to go public on a legitimate platform. With Pink Sheets and Reverse Mergers you'll only get burned so buyer beware! Are you short on cash? A popular mechanism for raising the initial capital to go public via OTCBB is by using a Private Placement Memorandum (Regulation D Rule 504) with a built in mini/maxi.

Right when you hit that minimum you can start using capital to grow your company while simultaneously initiating the 'going public' process.

The moral of this story...even if you're a startup or small business owner you can raise capital by going public! Get informed and get funded. - 2361

Bengals Blast Struggling Bears

By Ross Everett

Former Chicago Bears running back Cedric Benson got revenge on the team that let him go in the best possible way. Benson amassed 189 yards rushing and led his new team, the Cincinnati Bengals, to a 45-10 rout over the visiting Bears on Sunday. Carson Palmer threw for five touchdowns with no interceptions in the blowout victory. Cincinnati improved to 5-2 with the win while Chicago dropped to 3-3 on the NFL season.

The Bengals also made short work of the NFL pointspread, easily covering as +1' home underdogs. Cincinnati improved to 4-3 against the number while Chicago evened their ATS mark at 3-3.

A smug Benson described his feelings after the win:

"Everybody knew it was going to be an emotional day. Everybody knew. What a wonderful day and a wonderful thing, to go out there and strut your stuff."

Despite the evidence to the contrary, Benson downplayed the motive of revenge:

"I continue to be as graceful as I can be. I'm not shoving anything in anybody's face. Like I say, it wasn't a revenge day for me. I just wanted to take advantage of the opportunities."

He said his biggest problem was trying to keep his emotions in check and play under control:

"There were a few times where I may have gotten a little too hyped up, a little too antsy. A couple of drives, I found myself having to calm myself down and gather my emotions to stay poised. Once I got past that, we were good to go. Keep it rolling."

Bengals' receiver Chad Ochocinco had 10 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He shared his thoughts postgame:

"I don't understand why it went this way today and why it didn't go that way last week or the week before that. The offensive line played unbelievable. For Ced to run the way he did today and for us to be able to throw, we could have done what we wanted to do."

Chicago gave up more points than in any game all season, a fact that left defensive end Alex Brown looking for answers:

"That was pretty embarrassing. It's embarrassing to come out and play like that. I tip my hat to their whole team. Cedric ran the ball like crazy. They did whatever they wanted to do."

The Bengals will enjoy a bye week before hosting the Baltimore Ravens on November 8. They'll then play two games on the road at Pittsburgh and Oakland. Chicago will try to get back on track this Sunday as they host the Cleveland Browns. The Bears are -13' home favorites with the total set at 40. They'll host the Arizona Cardinals the following Sunday before heading west for a Thursday night game against the San Francisco 49ers on November 12. - 2361

Leveling in WoW: General Strategies

By Jeffrey Thomas

Looking for tips on how to level your characters as quickly as possible, with as little fuss as possible? Getting frustrated by corpse runs and being constantly forced to stop and rest between mobs? Don't worry, this guide is here to help!

The first thing I want to tell you is to learn about your class. Learn what specs are best for leveling, learn what kind of gear you should be wearing. There are a ton of sources out there that a quick search will bring up. And my blog has regular posts on the specifics of leveling different classes.

Now, I'm a big fan of using leveling guides, but there is a problem a lot of them share not only with each other, but with inexperienced levelers, so this is the first thing we'll talk about. The problem is, not all classes are created equally as far as leveling goes. Hunters, the class of choice for most guide writers, are able to destroy with ease mobs that would kill anyone else. So what you need to do when the content is too hard, is grind or instance a few levels, and get to the point where you are only fighting mobs lower level than you.

If you aren't already carrying level-appropriate food and water, start doing so. Minimizing downtime is the real goal of everything we do when it comes to speeding up leveling, because it is the biggest factor in how quick we level. Use mana-efficient spells and abilities, use wands and melee, and conserve health by using defensive techniques, stunning abilities, and things like snares and roots. Also, again, fight lower-level mobs.

Another thing that can cause trouble while leveling is letting yourself be under-geared. Some classes can practically ignore gear, but others will struggle unless they keep their stuff up to date. Either buy stuff off the auction house, or get it from quests and instances, but keep all your gear slots relatively up-to-date! (Use the Dungeon Finder system to do instances; you get amazing loot and amazing experience for doing so!)

On the topic of the AH: Don't spend tons of time going to the city to buy or sell. Use an alt to do all your business. Just mail things back and forth, as long as they are on the same account the transfer is instant. This has the added benefit of making it convenient to sell EVERYTHING that is white quality or better on the AH, making you tons of gold to buy new stuff with. - 2361

Things To Bear In Mind Before Hiring A Corporate Photographer

By Martin Walter

Corporate photography is a kind of commercial photography. Nevertheless, it is a highly skilled art with its own nuances.

There are a lot of aspects that distinguish other types of professional photography from corporate photography. In other types of photography, the photographer has the advantage of conducting retakes until he arrives at the right angle to click the ideal picture, but corporate photography is essentially a hit-or-miss business. That is why it is important to engage someone who can do the job well.

The photographer, who you are intending to hire, must also have the ability to think quickly as at corporate events everything happens quickly and without prior notice. Someone who is alert and shows urgency besides having an overall sense of what is going on around him can perform well as a corporate photographer.

Taking headshots of corporate senior executives is an important component of corporate photography. The headshots are either used for archival records or are printed in newspapers along with the corresponding news feature. The photographer should therefore be particularly good at this.

While engaging a corporate photographer, it must be borne in mind that a famous and talented photographer may not always be a good corporate photographer. A famous wedding photographer might think that managing a corporate event is easy, but he could very easily embarrass himself. In marriage functions, one event follows another in a clearly defined series, therefore all that the photographer requires to do is follow the succession of events and go on taking pictures. In corporate photography, things occur without any warning and alertness is crucial. Thus, only a seasoned corporate photographer should be engaged to photograph such events

Corporate photography plays a crucial role in maintaining good public relations for a company and to engage a good photographer for the purpose, you must follow the above mentioned tips. However, to verify all the photographer's claims, you should always look at samples of his earlier work. - 2361

Religious venues are undeniably very pictorial because of their architectural grandeur and are a delight to all kinds of wedding photographers.

Draw a Cartoon Me Face Avatar

By Carmeline Calvistacro

When I was younger I wanted to learn how to draw cartoons of photographs. It is difficult to draw an accurate cartoon me face because it can take a lot of practice. Drawing simple cartoons and tracing is quite easy, but when you try to draw a cartoon when you are looking at a photo is very difficult.

Drawing a caricature sometimes looks silly, but it it takes lots of work and skill to draw a carton me face of someone by just looking at a photo. When I use to draw cartoons in the beginning, some of them just ended up looking silly without me trying too hard.

Crayons are the best tool to use when drawing cartoons. Make sure you use alot of color and bright shades to capture peoples attention and imagination. When I draw a cartoon me face of my family members they think it is hilarious and we post them on the fridge.

As I matured so did my drawings, but I was still unable to draw a cartoon me face that even seemed like a person. I'd try drawing someone's nose for hours and then after a bit it just got so distorted I just would color over it.

There are so many things you can do to make the face look like it is alive. I'd spend a couple of hours drawing eyes and it took far longer when I drew women. One of my favorite features to draw on a cartoon me face is the beard. Beards and mustaches are fun to draw and truly help to improve someones facial features.

Some people take art classes to improve their drawing skills so they can quickly and easily create a cartoon me face. Art classes actually walk you through the drawing process by using simple steps.

Art classes are comparatively cheap and offered at art colleges and community colleges everywhere. A new way to make a cartoon me face is to download a computer program to help you with the drawing. Finding the right program is straightforward and many of them are completely free.

Drawing cartoons takes a lot of time and patience although it is still very entertaining. One of the most challenging things will always be to draw a cartoon me face by just looking at a photo.

Giving a cartoon me face drawing to someone as a present is a a great gag gift you can give that they will actually keep and maybe even post on their refrigerator. You will be able to draw cartoon me avatars of all of your family and friends after just a few hours of practice. - 2361

What Is The Sound Of Classical Guitars

By Jarvis D. Burris

Guitars are among the most well liked of music instruments in the world, practically employed in pretty much all genres of music there is. Be it for the bass line for the newest rap song hit, or the lead solo in a jazz fusion piece, guitars may be found resonating their sounds in almost every type of music there's in the world.

As musical instruments, the 1st generation of guitars have been observed to be used even 5000 years back.
