Affordable Prices

By Gary Pearson

I used to think that I had a pretty good TV. It has good sound and what I thought was a good picture. Then one day I was in an electronic shop and happened to walk through the television section. My jaw dropped when I saw how clear the new TVs were, it was practically like looking through a window. I decided that I deserved to have a good picture and approached the salesperson.

Plasma Screen or LCD

Perhaps I had been living in a box the last few years when it comes to technology in regards to television pictures, because I had hardly heard of all these advances. The LCD and plasma TVs have an amazing picture quality and are so thin and light, but they also come with a hefty price tag. After assuring the salesperson that I could in no way afford the price tag he showed me what came before these new models, the flat screen TV. These models are built like a regular tube TV, but with a flat front instead of a curved screen which markedly improves picture quality.

Picture Clear Quality - Affordable Prices

Since consumers are now opting for the state of the art LCD and plasma TVs the flat screen tube TVs have really come down in price. You should be able to afford a nice big one for only a few hundred dollars. Of course, you may need a friend to help you lift it into your house, because it's still not any lighter. Personally, I opted for the home delivery so I could make the delivery person bring it in.

While they don't always have prices that are better than everyone else, you can rest assured that their price will at least be on par with the lowest prices available out there for what you're getting.

As a regular Costco shopper, I always keep an eye on what kind of new electronics they have in and what they're going for to get an idea of how prices are fluctuating. I've been closely watch their TV flat screens, and when I saw a 32 inch Sharp going for less than what I'd originally paid for my older 27 inch 'non-flat' screen version I just had to get it.

If you are interested in upgrading your old tube television for something with a much clearer picture, and can't quite afford the top of the line plasma or LCD TVs, then consider getting a flat screen tube TV. They are priced even better than you last tube TV, so you can get a bigger picture without having to pay a lot. With your new flat screen TV you will get great picture clarity at a very affordable price. - 2361
