It might surprise you to know that Americans were the first to put on Halloween costumes. Although masquerade balls and mask adorning have been around for eons. Today, Halloween is also celebrated in other countries, including Canada, England, New Zealand, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and Australia.

Some choose to dress up in a sexy Halloween costume and be flirtatious on October 31st. Others enjoy the night pretending to be someone they are not, reenacting pirate scenes they have watches in movies or read about in books. The night doesn't have to be scary; it just has to be fun. Haunted houses, horrifying costumes, and theatrical costumes add to the fun for some. For others a fun party with pirates, clowns, and a super hero or two is more fun. There is no right or wrong way to celebrate, as long as you are having fun.
