Chocolate Tasting and Sale Festival

Chocolate is a well known food made from the seeds of cacao. The term chocolate came from Two Maya words meaning bitter juice. Theobroma cacao is the scientifc term of chocolate which means "Food for the Gods".

Each year in chocolate aficionados come together and celebrate the Annual Chocolate Tasting / Sale in the state of Massachusetts. Chocolate tasting and sale features how the sweet concoction of chocolates are made, and aside from the usual forms of chocolates we are used to, the festival show that there are many other variants available.

The Nashoba Valley Technical High School hosted the St. Marks Chocolate Festival. What a great event indeed and thanks to the Nashoba High School for coming up with such a wonderful treat! Nashoba is located at the eastern part of Massachusetts. The festive benefits the local pantries. For a day, the whole school transforms itself into a chocolate lover's haven, complete with all festive related decorations and an elaborate to eat all you can chocolate buffet. The event was $12 for adults and half the price for kids

Chocolate Tasting and Sale have the following featured chocolates: Tasse, sauces, chocolate bars and a lot more. All chocolates will be available for the publics tasting and for purchase. Live bands also accompanied the festivity.

In addition to the many treats that the festival has to offer, visitors had their share in judging the event they are to choose who amongst the participants have the best handmade or homemade confections. Handouts are distributed which will serve as their guidelines for describing the many chocolate flavors, from rich to bitter sweet to tart. The winner for this event was sighted for its uniqueness.

Fun and goodwill is seen throughout the event proper. Every one gets involved in their own special way of enjoying and taking part on the activities. The funds raised during the event went to the schools scholarships and renovations.

In the end, baking pans were scraped clean as the chocoholics emptied the left-over; every participant went home a winner, having the best chocolaty time of their lives, an event full of fun and sweets and at the same time all in the name of a good cause.
