Discover interesting info on Digital Photography

By Dan Feildman

Wedding photography has by far become one of the hottest jobs on the market today. This is a special and unique occupation that allows a person to show off their artistic side. By carefully watching the events that unfold at a wedding, a photographer can capture the most special of times for a new bride and groom. But in order to make a good living doing this, one must know the essential tools that are needed. One of the main things that a wedding photographer has to have in order to produce those special moments is an eye for detail and of course the right equipment. In order to make sure that their job is done correctly, the photographer needs to have at least a camera with black and white film along with a color film camera handy.

Which is better, the photography studio or location photography? This depends on what is types of pictures are desired. A studio may have more equipment such as lights that can enhance the pictures better. The location will more than likely not be able to accommodate all the equipment a photographer wants, but the area may be all that is needed for the perfect picture. The client and the photographer will have to make that choice together.

Unlike film cameras, digital cameras have a unique capability to allow someone to get just the right shot. No more closed eyes or open mouths to deal with. When thinking of choosing a digital photography camera, a person must think about just how much information they will store. Will they be an avid photographer that takes a ton of pictures? Or will their digital photography experience be limited to just a few pictures every now and then to capture those extra special moments? The special units that house the pictures can range from holding a few pictures to many. The space used will depend on what type of camera will be used. A digital photography camera is a tricky choice for some. Many people are more concerned with price than they are with how much memory the camera will have. The cameras range in price from a hundred dollars all the way to thousands of dollars.

As you are deciding which camera you would like to use or buy it is best to know about some features of the camera. Pixel for instance: 1.3 mega pixel is suitable for screen viewing, 1280960 is well enough for screen of 17 to 21 inches. 2-mega pixels can achieve print out under 46 inches. The detail of such photo can be compared with photo taken by traditional cameras. 3 mega pixel and above will make computer editing move convenient. You can do whatever you like with the image taken. 4 mega pixel and above can be used to print larger photos - 68 inches or print out with finer detail. Most major digital camera manufacturers have already stepped into 5 mega pixel. It is believe it will become the mainstream very soon. The pixel size of the digital camera will decide the resolution of a photo to be enlarged. However, the output file will be larger. Which means, more storage space will be needed for your photos. And it will also take longer time for image display, transmission or process. But be noted that resolution is not the only factor of the camera performance. The quality is not only decided by resolution but also the quality of the picture. High resolution not necessarily means good picture quality.

Purchasing any gift item for your child is a mind-numbing task. You can never be sure whether they will like what you buy for them or not. So, when you want to buy a digital camera for your little kids, then there are lots of things, which you must know, which will help you (hopefully!) to get the right camera for your child. One of the most important things for children is that the digital camera should be one of the latest available in the market. If it has been heavily advertised and people are talking about it, then it is even better. This gives children a sense of pride and also allows them to 'show-off' their possession to their friends. Another factor, which is critical for children, is that the camera must look good. This is very, very important to them. It does not matter whether it has a big screen or small screen, whether it is 2 mega pixel or 1.5 mega pixel - the camera should have a smart shape, come in flashy colors or it can also look cute or funky. But, the camera should not look 'boring' or very 'serious' in nature. However good the functions might be, if the camera does not look good, it is most likely that your choice will get rejected.

Besides an improperly exposed photo, the other most common mistake beginning photographers (and sometimes the pros) make is not getting a photo that is in sharp focus. Choose the right shutter speed - Shutter speed means how long the shutter of your digital camera stays open. It's expressed as a fraction of a second, such as 1/30th or 160th or 1/400th. The slower the shutter speed, the longer the shutter is open, and the more likely your are to get a blurred picture. If your digital camera is in automatic mode, make sure the shutter speed the camera is showing is at least 1/125th. It's very hard to do get a sharp photo at a slower speed. For moving objects, you'll need a setting of at least 1/400th to stop the motion. If the auto mode is not showing a fast enough shutter speed, switch the camera to the shutter priority setting and set the shutter speed manually.

And remember, just because it's dark, don't boost the ISO setting of your camera to compensate. The brightness of the fireworks is normally more than adequately captured at a minimum ISO of 100. If you set a faster ISO speed you increase the chances of over-exposure and possibly introduce image noise grain. The longer the shutter speed the longer and more dramatic the firework trails will be. But take care as anything longer than about 1/30th second will record any unsteadiness in the camera and you may need to use settings of as long as a second. If you are really serious, consider using a tripod.

4 Variants How To Download 90s Rock Music Free Of Cost

By Davion W

If you are a rock music fan and are more than 30 years of age, then the 90's rock may have a special place in your heart. You may want to download 90's rock music but have no idea where you can do it cheaply, or even free.

If you too are looking to download 90's rock music for free, here are your options:

1. Mainstream Music Websites

Main music sites like Rhapsody, EMusic and other mainstream services do offer free music downloads as well in case you are not aware. These are meant as bait to get visitors to sign up for their offers. For example, you can get about 25 songs from EMusic just to try them out. However, do not expect to get the newest, latest music from these offers.

2. Rock Fans' Websites

You are definitely not alone in your love for 90's rock music, so look for like-minded people on the Net. There are quite a few small amateur sites featuring free downloads. Again, do not expect to compile your collection easily, as the selection of downloads is not that large. And because these sites are not professional, downloads are often slow and the quality of sound may not be up to the standard as well.

3. Free Legal Music Sites

You can, with a lot of chances, download 90's rock music from legal free music websites, since this is what they specialize on - oldies and all-time hits. Additionally, you may have a good chance to find little known songs of that period. The trick is to find such genuine website as many of free music sites are not what they claim to be and the possibility of getting scammed is very high.

4. Torrent Networks

Though not advisable, theoretically, you can go to file sharing networks to download 90's rock music for free. But this is the shortest way to reveal your computer's content to the third party as Trojans are very common there. In the worst situation, especially, if your anti-virus protection is outdated, you may catch a bad virus and say bye-bye to your PC. The risk is not worth the quality of downloads, though. Slow speeds, corrupt and unplayable files, wrong song titles are the attributes of torrent sites.

These are main options for free downloads you have. There are great alternatives, though, if you are willing to invest just a little. Go to my blog and you will find out how you can download 90's rock music with maximum benefit.

batman costume. Todays modern look

By jack taylor

Batman was originally called The Bat Man and has been a fictional character in DC comic books since 1939 and more recently the driving force behind the demand for child batman costumes.

Batman spends his daily life as Bruce Wayne who runs his own well established business. His dark background,we are led to believe, is what gives him the dark persona, having witnessed the murder of his parents.

The two main characters in his life are his butler and Robin, his associate on the various mission he undertakes in his batman costume. Batman, unlike other super heroes of the time, has no super powers, although you might think he had when you see him in action in the comic strips and in recent films.

The public liked the character when it was launched and the longevity led to his appearance in a tv series in the 60's.

Batman appeared initially in 1943 in a newspaper column and was soon followed by a serial. He then went on to appear in the adventures of superman in 1945. All this PR helped to launch batman as a household name,

120 tv episodes started in 1966 and ran until 1968. Batman was scripted with a camp sense of humor, which Adam West the actor was not too happy about. It did not seem to affect the popularity of batman.

From 1973 until 1984, Batman had a starring role in the television production Super Friends , animated by Hana-Barbera. Olan Soule provided the voice of Batman, and was eventually replaced by Adam West.

By Timo Dawes

Pure Digital has just released the new Flip Mino miniature camcorder to join the other ultra-portable video cameras in their popular range of Flip Video camcorders. The pocket-sized Mino is a new camcorder design that is very compact and much slimmer than the Ultra models and the original Flip camcorder.

The whole concept behind these camcorders, and the factor that also allows for their miniature construction, is the fact that they use solid state internal flash memory to store the video recordings. Previously all camcorders used tapes or disks as the storage medium.

The sales promotions for the Flip Mino declare that these small devices are totally simple and totally fun. They have been designed specifically for ease of use and portability. You do not need any technical knowledge to use them and to start recording video you just press the touch sensitive record button and then just press it again to stop.

What Is The Best Way To Build RC Cars?

By Michael Castelli

So how does one build RC car which then you can have hours of fun with? In this article we offer a few tips which should help you when it comes to building your own remote control car, whether it be powered by fuel such as nitro or have an electric engine. Certainly for those who are only building a remote control car for the first time one that has an electric engine is strongly recommended.

The next thing you need to decide is whether you buy all the components separately or if you instead purchase an RTR or ARR kit. Certainly buying the components separately to build RC cars is great fun and allows you to build a customized one, but for those who have never built such a car before then using the kits with all the necessary components included is far better.

RTR (ready to run) kits have all the components including the radio to control them included. Whereas the ARR kits are minus the radio so you can then choose one that you like and feel comfortable with.

Certainly buying an RC car kit offers much more of challenge to you than if you buy one already built. It is crucial with such kits that time is taking over the building to ensure that each part fits together properly. Also building one for yourself means you will understand how they function and if at any stage you need to upgrade or repair parts you will find doing so much easier.

Once you have decided on the kind of kit it is you want to build RC cars from you now need to make a decision on whether you want an electronic or fuel powered engine on it. As mentioned above for those who are only just taking up this hobby for the first time building one with an electric engine is recommended.

Before you can start building a remote control car along with purchasing the kit you need to make sure that you have the right tools to build RC cars with. The tools that you are going to need in order to build a remote control car are mini screwdrivers, a Tamiya wrench, electrical screwdriver or normal ones, cutting pliers, long nose pliers, scissors, electrical tape, brush and super glue. Using an electrical screwdriver will actually help to speed up the process of building your RC car. Also you need to make sure that you use the right kind of screwdriver otherwise you could end up finding yourself stripping the screw.

The next thing you need to do is get everything laid out on the table ready that you will need to build your remote control car. It is a good idea if you cover the table with an old towel as this will help to ensure that all parts don't fall off of it.

As well as laying out all the parts to build RC cars you need to ensure that all the tools required and listed previously are close by. Plus in front of you place the manual that is going to take you step by step through the construction process to build RC car kit that you have brought.

The Complicated History Of Belly Dance

By Paul J Eastwood

To this day no one knows how or where belly dancing started. What is known is that belly dancing has evolved through centuries to become what it is today. From what historians have learned, it is clear that belly dancing has been used as goddess worship, fertility rituals and celebrations.

The History In The Middle East

In Arabic, belly dancing is known as Raks Sharqi. It means oriental dance. Originally this dance was performed for women by other women. There were men's clubs where young men for other men would perform the dance. Through history belly dancing was never performed for the showing of skin. In fact, the original costumes were designed so that no part of the woman's body would be revealed.

The history of belly dancing is full of debate and controversy. In 1893 belly dancing got its name. The show at the Chicago World Fair was not getting very much attention with the name Egyptian dance so the wise producer changed the name to belly dancing and the rest is history. In Egypt this scandalous dance was brought to the attention of the politicians. Once the 1950's rolled around belly dancing had become outlawed. The public was not happy about the banning and eventually it was repealed with the condition that the dancers would cover their abdomens.

The History of Belly Dance In America

Finally belly dancing made its way to the United States. It was originally only seen in burlesque shows or in vaudeville acts. Many people believed that the dance was scandalous or inappropriate because of its limited venues. Hollywood only added to the reputation by using dancers in their movies. In these Hollywood films the dancers were often portrayed as women of ill repute or the damsel in distress. This stereotyping is still in existence today.

The history of belly dancing in the U.S. actually started before the Chicago World Fair. In 1876 at the Pennsylvania Centennial the very first belly dancers in America performed. It didn't gain its popularity until the Chicago Fair, however.

Currently, belly dancing has enjoyed a resurgence of its popularity in the United States. In the 50's a group of clubs in many large cities used belly dancers for entertainment. By the 60's the dancers were giving lessons. This increased the number of dancers by very large numbers. Many dancers began to change the style of the dance in order to make themselves stand apart. This has caused belly dancing to lose its standing because of the lack of a standard choreography associated with the dance.

There has recently been an effort to combine a number of styles and call it American Tribal Style Belly Dance. The history of belly dance is one that is as rich and diverse as the many styles that can lay claim to the title belly dance. It will no doubt continue to evolve and change.

15 Singing Tips - Afraid Of Live Performance?

By Jackie Cummings

Are you afraid of public karaoke performance? Before you start singing, you must: Memorize your songs - Discover the tune, the language, and practise the actions you are going to use. It is also really essential to learn and know precisely where to come in at the opening of the song.

Sleep - Get lots of sleep the night before you perform.

Singing - Rest your voice on the day of your performance but make sure you warm it up the right way before you perform.

Eating - Make sure that you don't drink fizzy drinks or ice drinks before you sing. Same goes with milk, yoghurt, cream, ice cream, cheese etc. This is not at all advising that you should avoid taking these foods altogether. Just be careful that when you have to perform certain foods can interfere with your singing. It is a superb idea to eat a couple of hours before you have to perform in order to permit the food to digest. It is no fun trying to sing on a full stomach. Some people wait until after they perform to eat, but I wouldn't advise this. First reason is that you need the vigor to be able to sing well. I have also found that it's better to eat before you sing because it will help to keep your anxiety at a more manageable level. If you don't eat you will become even more worried and unable to control the anxiety.

Breathing - Deep ventilation is suggested to facilitate you with performance anxiousness. The more you sing the simpler it gets. Still, this does not happen with everyone. Some individuals proceed to battle with anxiousness. The fundamental thing you want to remember is to never give up. Don't let the fearfulness stop you from doing what you enjoy.

Dress to impress - When you are going to perform make sure that you dress fitly. It is advisable to be over dressed than under dressed.

Make up - Stage lights can make a individual look washed out or really sick. So a bit of colour will help you to avoid this. Age appropriate make up please!

Hair - Make it look special!

Warm up your voice before you sing - Do your vocal practices, breathing and warm ups.

Arrive on time - You could get disqualified or a replacment might be found if you are late.

Smile - As soon as you walk on stage you have set about your performance. Put your shoulder joints back and smile confidently.

Enjoy yourself - Masses will savour your public presentation more if you are involved in what you are singing.

Mistakes - If you happen to make a mistake pretend as though nothing happened and keep working. Don't say sorry, whoops, wind your eyeballs or commence laughing. Most individuals won't have a clue that you have made a fault.

Recognize and convey the content of the song - During performance it is very fundamental to commune the subject matter or story behind the song. Dont just stand like a statue. Learn about your character. Practise this at home when you sing your songs. If you do not exercise beforehand you will not be able to make it materialize on the day of your performance.

Applause - Stand and accept the applause as it's being given and then walk off the stage. Constantly make sure that you hold off until the music ends before you depart. Remember that walking on and off stage are several important parts of your performance.

Reward yourself - After singing try not to remember about the negatives. A performance is rarely perfect in every way. Don't permit errors or letdowns halt you from singing once again. A person who never produces any slips doesn't do anything.

Silver Nitrate: Cornerstone of Photography

By Fabian Toulouse

While it is accepted that the first photograph was probably taken earlier, the official invention of photography was made in 1839 by French artist and chemist Louis J.M. Daguerre. In partnership with Joseph Nicphore Nipce, they expanded upon a discovery made by Johann Heinrich Schultz in 1724 regarding how a certain silver nitrate and chalk mixture darkened when exposed to light. The daguerreotype, or earliest type of photograph, was born.

Daguerreotypes are actually negative images that are exposed onto a mirror-polished surface of metal that has been coated with iodine-soaked, silver halide particles. In latter developments iodine was replaced by bromine and chlorine vapors, which allowed for shorter exposure times. This direct photographic process did not allow for the duplication of the image, however.

In America, in 1839, Robert Cornelius worked with his father in silver plating and metal polishing. After being approached by Joseph Saxton, Cornelius moved into the young field of photography, using his mastery of chemistry and metallurgy to make a daguerreotype and turn it into the first photograph. It was a self portrait and the first human portrait to be produced. Cornelius ran two photographic studios in America in 1839 and 1843 until he eventually rethought his commitment and returned to his family's gas and lighting company.

Silver nitrate is an easily reproduced compound that has become the foundation of photography. 1841 saw Englishman, William Henry Fox Talbot introduce a new process that involved sensitized paper that contained a coating of silver iodide which produced a negative image when exposed to light. The paper was semi-transparent, which could be laid over sensitized paper to produce a positive image or direct copy of the original.

Originally, silver halide, formed through the reaction of halide and silver nitrate, was diluted in a solution of gelatin which was bound and carefully controlled. Gelatin was an vast improvement over the previously used egg whites which produced sharp images but were easily damaged. In later upgrades, Dr. R.L. Maddox solved this problem by figuring out a way to prepare gelatin dispersions of silver salts on glass plates.

In 1887, George Eastman prominently introduced the Kodak system, wherein a silver halide-in-gelatin dispersion was coated on a silver nitrate base and then loaded into a camera. With this system, a person could take up to 100 pictures at a time. When they were all exposed, the person simply returned everything - camera and film, to be processed in Rochester, New York and modern photography was born.

Top 5 Unique Piano Cover Ideas

By Chuck Stewart

Having been in the piano cover business for several years, I have had the opportunity to listen to and help produce covers of some very odd types. Most of the crazier ideas come from people wishing to cover something not related to a piano but there have been some great requests for pianos as well. I thought it might be interesting to write some of those ideas down to get people thinking about other great ways to reinvent piano covers.

A Man's Best Friend Deserves a Cover. A woman from northen Wisconsin wanted to inquire about having a cover made to fit over her dog house, saying it just needed to be fitted and waterproof. After asking a few questions I found out that her husband did not like to have the dog in the house when they went to work each day after the dog chewed up some of their more personal belongings. The best remedy they came up with was to have a cover made to fit over the leaky dog house in order to protect the dog from the winter weather while they were away. Fortunately, I was able to talk them out of their concept and asked them to spend the money instead to fix up the leaky dog house.

Logos of Your Favorite Team. Piano Covers are great places for team logos and over the years we have received quite a few requests to bring your favorite team right into your living room. We can place team logos directly above the piano keys, on the side panel, or, my personal favorite, right on the top of the cover in the middle of the piano. The logos are relatively easy to have come out looking great because it is easy to get such great artwork. Sometimes we get asked to do some odd tasks like dyeing the complete cover the same color as the logo. To accommodate those requests we have dyed piano covers white and red, yellow and maize and even gold and green.

Match the Decor of a House. The number one reason people ask for a non-traditional piano cover is that they want to match the decor of a part of their house. There are no budget issues for these clients, they just want to get a piano cover that exactly matches their environment. I have worked with green and pink, some family plaids that were pretty cool, some great designs for very hip music rooms and of course, had the requests to match a piece of furniture.

Place a picture on the piano cover of a loved one who has passed. This request has come up a handful of times over the last several years. Technology for photos has advanced to the point where a picture can be taken and blown up to fit on a piano cover. The image then is woven right into the fabric. Each time you place a drink on the piano, your aunt will be looking at you to keep you in line. Hopefully she is laughing as she does it.

These fancier covers will need extra time to be manufactured and will require an investment that could be five to eight times the cost of a regular piano cover. Traditional guys like me tend to like a brown or black vinyl piano cover but I must admit that I do enjoy working on the more trendy covers that come through our company.

Karaoke CDs & DVDs - The Buyers Guide

By Chris Bailey

When constructing your own karaoke program library, there are a number of particular factors you must look out for when choosing the correct karaoke CDs and DVDs. The greatest thing to remember is always make sure your karaoke system can cover the right data formatting of the CDs or DVDs that you are purchasing.

While almost all karaoke systems are able to address most formats, and most karaoke CDs and Dvd / Cdg Discs work on most systems, it is advisable to double check to verify that your buys will not be done in waste. If using a more broad karaoke system, most are able to handle almost all formats karaoke Cd Discs and Dvd / Cdg Discs, but by working through the data formatting it will handle it will make sure you are not frustrated when it does not function. By simply double-checking, you can set your mind at ease and be convinced that your buy will work without a headache.

If you are buying karaoke cd discs and dvd discs for the first time, make sure you choose the ones that you know will be utilised. While most individuals would like to have a complete library that covers all music styles and musical genres, it can become superfluous to buy a number of tracks that you have no interest in ever singing.

It is better to purchase karaoke dvd discs that have the songs you are interested in. In this aspect guarantee that your purchase will be put to great use instead of merely collecting dust. Still if you are somebody who is always throwing karaoke friday events or inviting acquaintances over to enjoy your karaoke machine, make sure you get titles that have some form of general appeal of the singing group.

There is nothing bad in having your personalized collection that is suited specifically to your tastes, but if you are a massive fan of country and your acquaintances completely loves the blues, it will cause your party to be a little lacklustre.

Lastly, what you have to keep in mind when deciding what karaoke CDs and Dvd / Cdg Discs you are purchasing is what you will get the most use out of. If you sing mainly to train for your karaoke live performance, then look for unique titles that hold tracks that you will sing, but if you require to use your karaoke machine for a bit of social fun, look at compilations or karaoke Dvd Discs that cover a wide range of songs. That way everyone can get into the fun.

Get rid of the annoyances you feel when photoshop is the topic

By David Peters

Digital photography has a lot of advantages over film photography in many areas, but one of the most useful is the final output of the image itself. With film cameras you had to rely on the processing lab to make any general adjustments needed to your photos to make them appear their best, but with digital photos you as the photographer have all the tools you need to enhance and edit your own photos right at home. Of course, how much editing you do to your photos before printing is entirely up to you and there are all kinds of preferences on photo editing from those that do almost no editing at all, to those who like to make major adjustments to almost every photo that they take. And there is plenty of middle ground in between those two extremes as well.

You can learn to make amazing enhancements to any photograph using the tools and functions available in Photoshop. The following are just a few of the improvements you can make to people pictures. Whiten stained teeth, Remove unsightly scars, Smooth age wrinkles, Clear up acne, Remove blemishes, Double chin removal, Fill in bald spots by adding hair, Open closed eyes, Remove tattoos, Hide body piercings, and even Change eye color.

Pixel parity. Never judge a digital photo without looking at the actual pixels. Image editors often squeeze the image down to the size of your screen (or, even worse, down to the size of a window on your screen). No matter how good the software is, it can't remove a lot of pixels and still show you the same image. Your image editor should have a menu choice for "Actual Size," "Actual Pixels" or "1:1." Slide your chair back a few feet if you need to get a longer view when you're looking at the actual pixels. And be sure to view your images full-screen; all good editors let you do that.

The display resolution of a digital television or computer display typically refers to the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. Some commentators also use this term to indicate a range of input formats that the display's input electronics will accept and often include formats greater than the screen's native grid size even though they have to be down-scaled to match the screen's parameters. An example of pixel shape affecting "resolution" or perceived sharpness is displaying more information in a smaller area using a higher resolution, which makes the image much clearer. However, newer LCD displays and such are fixed at a certain resolution; making the resolution lower on these kinds of screens will greatly decrease sharpness, as an interpolation process is used to "fix" the non-native resolution input into the displays native resolution output.

Ghosting. This is what this special effect is called; accomplished by using your SLR's multiple exposure feature, but with a simple twist to ensure proper film exposure. The procedure detailed in this article is different from the instructions in your SLR manual. Ghosting is perfect for pictures involving subjects in motion, taken when the camera and the background is stable (not moving) and the subjects move through, around, or across the frame. I have had great success using this effect when photographing people moving about an historic site or children as they scamper over rocks. I have also used this effect for weddings and sports shoots.

Photoshop has opened up many new and vibrant ways to change and edit your many photos. Photoshop and other editing tools are the photographers best friend for photos that are perfect except for one thing or just for experimenting on colors and variety. Frame; There are unlimited ways you can put frames around your photos in Photoshop. Vignette; Vignette is a popular effect that involves a soft fade, usually in oval shape, where the photograph is light in center and fades gradually into the background where it gets darker. Vibrant Color; By adjusting the saturation you can turn an otherwise dull photograph into a masterpiece of vibrant color. You can even work with particular color channels while leaving others alone. As you learn Photoshop and start experimenting with adding special effects to your photos you will learn many more techniques as well as different ways to achieve the same effects.

The first thing you absolutely must do is decide what field of photography you want to get into. There is fashion photography, sports photography, glamour photography, studio photography, outdoor photography, children's photography and the list goes on and on. The market for each of these and many other types is wide open. And with those wide open markets also comes a lot of competition. Deciding on which field you want to get into should not be based on the path of least resistance. There is no such thing. Pursue the path that you have the most passion for.

A Beginner's Guide to Audio Consoles

By Steve Collins

An audio console is comprised of an electronic device called a soundboard. This soundboard reroutes audio signals or alters its level, this is called "mixing". Depending upon the type of mixer that is being used. An audio console can mix many different analog and digital signals. Mixing consoles have been used for television and radio shows for many years. As time has progressed, so has the development of the audio console. People use them in a recording studio, and broadcasting stations, as well as TV stations.

Each console features many rotary control knobs, which control things such as gain, and trim or static. These knobs buffer the sounds, enabling a regular signal level. The console uses different devices such as input connectors, and tip ring sleeves to reduce any interference and to help balance the noise. Auxiliary send routing is a way to split an incoming signal to an auxiliary bus; they can be either a pre-fader or a post-fader, which is set by the auxiliary send control. Sounds are sent through an external processor, such as a reverb, and then rerouted back through another channel on the mixer.

Channel equalization of these signals separately boosts the range of the frequencies, such as bass, treble, and midrange. The larger consoles, that have 24 channels or more, usually have what is called sweep equalization in the bands of a parametric equalizer, which affects bandwidth as well as the frequency. The smaller mixing consoles will only have few equalization controls, if any at all.

Each subgroup or mixing router has an audio potentiometer, which can be controlled a sliding volume control, called a fader. The fader adjusts only a specific channel and therefore only affects a distinct level of each signal from the microphone or audio source. Also there are master output controls which contain a matrix routing section. Conversation is allowed by talkback controls to the performers in the studio wearing their headphones.

Digital mixers have become very popular since 1990, because of the versatility of digital consoles rather than the analog. They are also made to reduce much of the extra noise that an analog console mixer has, because the digital consoles resistance to outside interference makes them the pinnacle of audio consoles.

The Truth Of Method Acting

By Roy Eisenstein

Many actors pretend the emotions that their characters are feeling while others bring the real thing to their performance.

Actors who feign their emotions during a performance are called being presentational. When this approach to acting is used the audience will know that the actor is not being genuine and will respond accordingly. The entire performance will be judged to be unbelievable by the audience and it will affect the performances of all the other actors in the company.

Method acting is an approach that can bring some of the realism back to a performance. Many acting coaches will agree that method acting is a way for an actor to bring the truth to the performance or to even use in their auditions.

In 1931, the Group Theater was created by Lee Strasberg, Cheryl Crawford and Harold Clurman. The Group Theater was designed to present a unified approach to performing the plays of that time. There was to be no star in the company and all of the actors were part of a movement that would achieve success for every member of the company.

Some of the members who were a part of the Group Theater were Kurt Weill, Lee J. Cobb, Paul Strand, Paul Green, Clifford Odets, Michael Gordon, John Randolph, Joseph Bromberg, Franchot Tone, Will Geer, Howard Da Silva, Luther Adler, Stella Adler, John Garfield, and Elia Kazan.

The theater is the place where Lee Strasberg first developed the acting style called the Method. Konstantin Stanislavsky is the inspiration for this method of acting. During rehearsals the actor is trained and encouraged to use real emotional experiences in his performance. The experiences are reached through improvisation techniques.

Through the years, the Method has gone through many incarnations as it has been passed through the hands of different acting coaches. Acting coaches add their own personalization to the method to get the best performances out of their students.

Many actors who were previously guarded and giving stiff performances have been able to open up and use the emotions that are in their own experience. This method is a powerful tool for bringing those emotions out of the actor and into their performance.

The exercises that the Method uses will help the actor to draw upon their own life experiences for the emotions that their characters are feeling in the scene they are performing. It is about moving from a state of being into a state of emotion and then using that state to perform the scene. When an audience watches an actor who is using this technique the performances can be powerful and raw. There is genuine emotion behind the acting.

The Method approach to acting is a lifelong commitment to the process. The actor will always be learning about their own emotions and their response to the events of their life. They will always have a well of emotional experiences to draw upon whenever their performance demands it.

This method changes the performance from an acting performance into an art form. The artist is always able to put his or her own passion and emotion into the performance while the actor simply pretends.

Preparing Yourself To Sing On Stage - Karaoke Night

By Simon Turly

Here are 15 great tips to start singing well on stage. Remember your songs - Hear the tune, the language, and commit the actions you are going to use. It is also very serious to learn and recognize exactly where to come in at the beginning of the song.

Sleep - Get lots of rest the night before you perform.

Singing - Ease your voice on the day of your public presentation but make sure you warm it up right before you perform.

Eating - Make sure that you don't drink carbonated drinks or ice drinks before you sing. Same goes with milk, yoghurt, cream, ice cream, cheese etc. This is not at all suggesting that you should avoid consuming these foods altogether. Just be careful that when you have to perform certain foods can intervene with your singing. It is a right idea to eat a couple of hours before you have to perform in order to allow the food to digest. It is no fun trying to sing on a full stomach. Some people wait until after they perform to eat, but I wouldn't advise this. First reason is that you need the vigour to be able to sing well. I have also learned that it's better to eat before you sing because it will help to keep your anxiety at a more controllable level. If you don't eat you will become even more worried and incapable to control the anxiousness.

Breathing - Deep ventilation is advised to facilitate you with performance anxiousness. The more you sing the simpler it gets. Nevertheless, this does not happen with everyone. Some individuals continue to battle with anxiety. The important thing you want to remember is to never give up. Don't let the dread stop you from doing what you know.

Dress to impress - When you are going to perform make sure that you dress appropriately. It is better to be over dressed than under dressed.

Make up - Stage lights can make a individual look washed out or really sick. So a bit of color will help you to avoid this. Age appropriate make up please!

Hair - Make it look great!

Warm up your voice before you sing - Do your vocal practises, breathing and warm ups.

Arrive on time - You could get disqualified or a replacment might be found if you are late.

Smile - As soon as you walk on stage you have begun your performance. Put your shoulders back and smile confidently.

Enjoy yourself - Individuals will relish your performance more if you are involved in what you are singing.

Mistakes - If you happen to make a error act as though nothing happened and keep enduring. Don't say sorry, whoops, roll your eyes or begin laughing. Most people won't have a clue that you have made a mistake.

Know and transmit the message of the song - During performance it is very critical to pass along the content or narrative behind the song. Dont just stand like a statue. Learn about your character. Exercise this at home when you sing your songs. If you do not exercise beforehand you will not be able to make it materialize on the day of your performance.

Applause - Stand and accept the hand clapping as it's being given and then walk off the stage. Always make sure that you hold until the music stops before you leave. Remember that walking on and off stage are some fundamental parts of your performance.

Reward yourself - After singing try not to think about the negatives. A performance is seldom perfect in every last way. Don't grant slips or letdowns stop you from singing once more. A individual who never produces any slips doesn't do anything.

Pocahontas - An American Legend Comes To Life

By Steve Collins

In 1995, Walt Disney Pictures released the first Disney feature where, as the tagline states, "an American legend comes to life." Pocahontas, the first Disney film based on an genuine historic figure, was the 33rd animated film ever released by Disney Studios and marked the high-watermark for the Disney Renaissance which had begun in 1989 with The Little Mermaid. This film was one of the few Disney films to ever portray an interracial romance (between Pocahontas and John Smith).

The expectations for the production were very high. Jeffery Katzenberg, the then-studio boss, considered it a prestige project capable of vying for a Best Picture nomination in the same vein as Beauty and the Beast. Indeed, Katzenberg felt Pocahontas would out-perform the tremendous returns The Lion King enjoyed. Unfortunately, the adult themes of the film undermined its appeal to children and though it failed to meet expectations, Pocahontas did earn approximately $142 million domestically and $348 million worldwide.

Pocahontas enjoyed the largest premiere in film history, premiering at Central Park in New York City. Though the publicity certainly did sell revenues, the film was criticized for several historic and ethnic inaccuracies. Some critics felt the characterization of Pocahontas was too "fashionably exotic," while other critics condemned the historical accuracy. In reality, Pocahontas was prepubescent when John Smith encountered the Powhatan tribe. She was kidnapped by the English, converted to Christianity, married to both a Powhatan warrior, Kocoum, and then to the English tobacconist John Rolfe. Furthermore, most historians discount the notion of a romantic relationship between Pocahontas and Smith.

By contrast, the film was celebrated for its distinct animation style. The sparse color palette and, by Disney standards, unusual use of a mother spirit motif set Pocahontas apart from typical Disney fare. The score of the film, composed by Alan Menken, was likewise well-received - so much so that it earned the Academy Award for Best Original Score. The theme song, "Colors of the Wind," also written by Menken, with Vanessa Williams on vocals, won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Song.

Though Pocahontas was a commercial disappointment, it would prove to be more lucrative than its successor The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Indeed Hunchback would mark the end of the Disney Renaissance, during which the studio made nearly $1 billion. The studio would release a sequel, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, in 1998, direct-to-video.

The Facts About Karaoke - Who Invented It

By Justin Underwood

Karaoke has become a favourite amongst all age groups ,even though the ones that may know the least about it are the elders. However in a sense they know to a greater extent about it then the youth of today. Ages ago this golden age group, were in the habit of getting together at a party or a nightclub and singing all the old golden songs and songs they grew up with. The only thing actually missing was the machine.

With the advent of karaoke came the birth of a lot of self self-assurance. Individuals that usually would be too shy to get up and sing before a crowd, seem to find it much easier if other singers are going tosing too.

Karaoke was launched in Japan. Theres a narrative going around that a bar owner had hired some entertainment that didnt show up. So out of despair he put on some records and enquired in anyone desired to sing. As the narrative goes, the night was a superb success and thus the birth of this superb pass time. The citizens of Japan particularly enjoy doing hit songs from the Beatles and Elvis. They have accommodated quite a liking for western music. This is a real bonus for established exchange students. In addition it is a exceptional help for brushing up the English skills.

In the very beginning it was rather a simple system. One would just put a tape on and someone would sing along with it. Then it went up onto videos with graphics. At Long Last now the more high-tech adaptation is the karaoke player that consists of a mike and a TV screen to observe along the song with. Much like when we were youngsters and would hear a song on television and sing along by watching the bouncing ball.

An engrossing problem that had to be worked out in Japan was the noise factor. The homes are set very close together in that area, so an individual babbling at the top of his lungs could be quite a beguilement for the neighbours, no matter how good the vocalist was. To clear that issue they formulated the karaoke box. In fact the first boxes were railway cars that manage to control the music rather nicely.

Karaoke seems to be a solid ice breaker. Where individuals may not commonly socialise with each other. it seems an individual getting up and singing gives the way to conversation. Frequently a person is preened on how well they done when they come off stage, and a conversation may start out.

Its is a superior instrument to form confidence in youngsters. Most minors love to sing and will conduct themselves through songs. Some are rather shy still. Having the music to observe seems to give them self-assurance, as though they are not exclusive when they are before the audience.

Of course the word Karaoke is a Japanese word. Kara means empty and oke signifies olestra which equals orchestra. It certainly is a terrific fashion to spend a fun night full of pleasure.

By Ethan Hunter

As a layperson you may not be familiar with a DVD decrypter. So, let us begin with the definition of a DVD decrypter. As the word suggests, it is a software application that can crack the encryption safeguards to allow you to create back-up disc images of the DVD-video structure of DVDs. You can burn images to the disc with a DVD decrypter. It can remove the user operation prohibition, region codes, macro vision and content scrambling system.

The DVD decrypter hit the market in 2002. The original purpose of discovering the DVD Decrypter was to analyze the contents of a disc and decipher DVD security codes to copy them into another blank disc. It is easy to install the DVD decrypter technology in your home computer. All you need to do is to insert the disc you want to copy and the rest of the process is automated by the decrypter wizard using the most popular options given therein.

It was actually Hollywood that developed the DVD decrypter CSS software as a shield against movie piracy. The content scrambling system, that uses a 40-bit encryption, encrypts data on the DVD. There is a special key in it to unscramble the data. The DVD playing software developers are aware of this key and thus could easily read the information on the software. But later on, unfortunately, the CSS software was cracked.

DVD decrypter software application is an easy-to-use software application. When you use this DVD decrypter software application you can see two screens on your desktop. The first screen displays data related to the original disc, and the second screen shows information related to the disc being created, such as its duplication speed etc.

Using a DVD decrypter one can get the events log which informs you about the applications the software has so far performed, the errors and the reasons for those errors. The events log can serve as a quick reference tool and has the capacity to support you, if you need. A technology savvy user can adjust the data under decryption. This would help in increasing the audio-visual quality of the duplicated media.

You can create copies of your favorite movie and television shows, using the DVD decrypter, so that one could enjoy them anytime on his desktop or laptop. But one must be cautious enough while using the DVD decrypter otherwise it may damage the entire data or produce a duplicate of poor quality. So you must choose the decrypter software taking into consideration the reviews available to you.

For stand alone DVD decrypter software to work, another program is required to get the duplication process completed, which will copy the DVD onto the computer or a tentative folder to finally get decrypted onto the new disc. But before you use it, check whether your computer can afford the application.

The DVD decrypter is a useful tool to make copies of DVDs as a back-up arrangement. It is a user-friendly software application, but it needs to be used judiciously.

What is Tarot Card Communication?

By Charlie Reese

The best way to interpret tarot cards is to combine learned knowledge with instinctual intuition. This is the case whether you are the actual reader or the recipient. If you do not intend to study the tarot, but are interested in taking part in the mystical, magical wonders of its traditions, it is important that you seek out a tarot reader with a reputation for both excellence and accuracy. If you wish to become a reader yourself, focus first on the cards themselves, then practice so you can hone your intuitive skills.

There are many people who interpret tarot cards. Some are serious students with an insatiable thirst for more. One the surface, such people are impressive with their vast knowledge. They may posses great knowledge of tarot card history and legend, and they can even be masters of several different decks. However, if they do not posses the gift of intuition, their knowledge is flat, only interesting at best.

Other people may be highly spiritually attuned, psychics, if you will, but only dabble in tarot. These people will also appear impressive at first meeting. They will be able to zoom into key qualities in your personality and speak with authority about how you are likely to react to certain situation. They will seem to know exactly how you feel about the things in your life. Because they are so insightful and are able to talk freely about tarot cards and their meanings, you may easily assume that they are good readers. Be warned, however, because without an in depth knowledge of the cards, they are likely to miss subtle symbols that just might hold the key to the question at hand during your reading.

Because the ability to intuit is a natural gift, the second kind of person has what it takes to become a master of the tarot. It is up to you and your own intuition then, to decipher the difference.

If you hope to become a reader yourself, consider your ability to "read between the lines," both literally and figuratively. Do you often see things that others miss? Do you recognize what people really mean when they say something else? And are you a good student? In order to interpret tarot cards accurately, you must love to study and you must consider yourself a student for life.

Clearly, the best way to interpret tarot cards is to find the balance of knowing: the balance between learned knowledge and intuited understanding.

Practice Belly Dancing Music

By Paul J Eastwood

When you are just starting out with belly dancing you will want to find some good belly dancing music to practice your moods. You don't need to find authentic belly dancing music to put your moves into use. If you are just practicing at home use whatever music you enjoy.

The one thing that you should make sure of when you are selecting your belly dancing music is whether you like it. Only if you become serious in your pursuit of belly dancing will you need to explore more authentic music.

Variety Tapes

You should be able to find a variety of tapes and CD's that are being sold as belly dancing music. If you are just playing around with belly dancing then this sort of music will be fine. This type of music is typically a combination of Middle Eastern music with some western influences. This is a perfectly appropriate way to become familiar with the more traditional belly dancing music.

It is also fine to use music that has nothing to do with belly dancing. If you are performing your routines for your friends and family the choice of music is not that important. What are important are the rhythm and the beat of the music. As long as it is appropriate for your routine then you should use it. Latin music is particularly pleasing for belly dancing.

The Real Music

If you are looking for some authentic music then you should probably find someone who is familiar with belly dancing and the music that goes with it. The perfect person to ask is a belly dancing instructor. There are different styles of music, just as there are different styles of dance. When going for authenticity try to match the style of the music with the style of the dance moves.

Learning all the different styles of dance is a great way to find the right styles of music. As you become more intimately familiar with them, you will learn to recognize the music. If authenticity is not your main concern then feel free to try one of the many compilation CD's available.

Learn Digital Phoptography

By Warren Dixon

Question: What do you think of digital photography? Answer: For many years I was a dedicated film user and was reluctant to switch to digital. With a few Photoshop classes for nature photographers behind me I wish I had made the switch years earlier. Digital cameras and Photoshop are incredibly powerful tools and they will only get better. There are a plethora of choices today! I personally have converted to this new medium, (thus I don't have to pack bags of film or worry about airport X-ray issues!) I have the following points to offer you: If you are buying an SLR camera that will take your existing interchangeable lenses, expect to spend serious money. The Nikon D100 body alone can be found selling for about U.S. $ 1,000.00 (May 2006), and the excellent new Nikon D70 for $ 999.00.

Do you do digital photography or use film? We still have film, but use that as back up. Our digital equipment will allow us to make up to 30 x 40 prints of the same quality that we would get when we shot with our medium format film camera's.Digital photography is just as good if not better than 35 mm photography. Prints for digital images make beautiful enlargements up to 20 x 30 inches. Digital photography is useful when you will require enlargements larger than 11x14 inches in size.

What is diffraction and how does it affect my photos? The corners of my images are darker than the center at the telephoto end of my zoom's range.

Why did you switch to digital photography? A. I never have to limit the number of images I can photograph at your wedding. I am not wasting film, so I can keep shooting until I get the exact moment I want. B. We used to be limited to the type of film in our camera, no more. Now I can give you any image you want in color, black & white or sepia. C. Digital has made all kinds of art work more available and affordable.

What can I do to improve my digital photography? Digital cameras offer you a very important advantage over film. They give you the capability to see and evaluate your pictures immediately. The downside of digital cameras, though, is that they are not nearly as forgiving of mistakes as film. For example, film has an extremely wide exposure latitudethe amount you can miss your exposure by and still get a good printthat extends from one stop under to three stops over. Digital cameras give you only plus or minus 1/2 stop. The candid/photojournalistic aspects of your Wedding Day will be shot in High Resolution Digital, and you have the option of having your formal/portrait photography shot in Digital as well, or on Medium Format Film. Though I recommend Medium Format for all portrait work, I want to leave that choice up to you. I offer either option at the same price because I don't want cost to be a factor in your decision.

Have you thought about publishing this as a book? Part of what makes the FAQ interesting for me and useful for other is, I think, that it's a living document. It's constantly evolving and contains many links that people can follow to get more information. I'm afraid that it would lose some of this appeal in printed form.Low-resolution digital images can be transmitted instantly via e-mail to anywhere in the world. Large prints can be produced from high-resolution digital images. Graphics and labeling can easily be added to digital images. Digital proof images can be viewed by the client the same day as the flight. Custom cropping, color correction and haze-reduction techniques can be applied to digital images in the "Digital Darkroom".I'm Ron Parr.
