DanceSteps-n-Dancing - My Mother was a Dance Teacher.

By Alan Smith

Dancing is my greatest passion. Perhaps that passion is larger than my dancing ability but if you have a dream driven by passion it is difficult to relent. DanceSteps-n-Dancing is a new forum for everyone with a love of dance. Here you may express your joy and share your every thought.

My mother was a lover of Dance. She was a Dancing Coach and developed her own Dance classes and also coached at a prominent Melbourne studio. I was borne in Melbourne and at an early age my mother would encourage me to join her dance classes. At this time in my young life dancing held little interest for me and I was soon to reject her requests. That is now a sad memory as my mother died young to only see the early days of my manhood.

It was many years later that I awkwardly graced the dance floor, and have done so ever since, perhaps without the awkwardness ( at least I would like to think so) I may one day place a video on this page for you to decide. I have one wish and that is for my mother to somehow know I am dancing as she wanted me too so long ago.

Dance is a reflection of our most primitive instinctual behavour. Other skills you'll develop as you learn to poise and grace and encourage coordination and muscle strength are particularly important in later life, The rhythm and balance that our bodies inherit from dancing are engraved in out hearts forever.

My passion for dance and dancing has created lots of new friendships. Some are like me and believe in dancing as being a way of life. Others have varied interests and the mix of friendships and desires is wonderful to have. In conversation there is always an opportunity to talk about your favorite passion and an even greater opportunity to be a great listener.

My website is not in memory of my mother. She is just there. Perhaps with a guiding hand. DanceSteps-n-Dancing is an expression of my dancing experiences and the thoughts of others. At DanceSteps-n-Dancing you may watch a video dance lesson preview. There are many dance styles. Pick up some dance steps and dance moves to improve you're dancing experience or just make a post and tell us about you.

It has a business aspect too. DanceSteps-n-Dancing has links to sites with paid and free dance steps, dancing videos and how to start a blog like this one to express your own thoughts or produce an income are gathered through out the pages.

The performance aspect of dance has helped me to build healthy self-esteem and confidence, develops skills that help with other sports, not to mention the fun! And there's some evidence that dancing to music while you exercise stimulates mental functioning more than silent activities. Building your dance steps into a workout routine is a great way to learn. Just dance to the music you live. - 2361
