I have made a short list of movie hits for 2008. These are some of the motion pictures I enjoyed watching this year. I'm sure that you can find a picture or two that you will enjoy.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his lost brother, professor Trevor Anderson travels to Iceland, and that sends him into the depths of our planet. This is another version of the 1959 film, which was about the science fiction book by celbrated writer Jules Verne. Starring Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutchinson.

STEP BROTHERS: When two child like older men, who each live with their single parents, will now have to live in the same room because their parents have wed, we see that they are bound to have problems. Casting John Reilly and Will Ferrell as the key players, and you have the ingredients for a racous comedy. This seems like a sure thing if your looking for some laughs.

HAMLET 2: Unsucessful actor Dana Marshz has moved on to teaching the high school theater classes to bored and unmotivated kids. When the high school loses a major building, the school administation feels that the theater curriculum must be eliminated. Wanting to fight, he is on a mission to keep the school from dropping his classes by producing Hamlet 2, a sequel to the original work, which is his own work.

TROPIC THUNDER: Overloded with good actors we find ourselves watching a spoof on vietnam war movies. Things are going bad, so to get his underachieving super stars to make a first rate war movie, the frantic, and abused, director Damien Cockburn into the middle of nowhere, leaving them to fend for themselves. His theory is to frightnen them into producing a war classic, which hidden cameras will capture. Unbelievabley, as the director walks over a land mine and is blown apart, the crew is left on its own, and they start acting, thinking it's a big set, when things start to get very real. Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Tom Cruise star.

BOLT: Bolt: This film is a fun animation. Bolt, is a dog who is an actor, who plays the role of a dog that has super hero dog powers. The thing about Bolt is that he really thinks he has these powers. When, by chance, he is thrown into the real world, he realizes that he is only a normal dog. On a journey to get back home, he is aided by Mittens, the cat, and Rhino, the hampster.

Jumper: Nearing death by drowning, David realizes he has an unbelievable ability. He now knows he can transport himself anywhere, anytime. He then comes to learn that he is not the only one that has this capability. After years of "jumping" around the planet, he finds out that there are those that think jumpers are a threat, and need to be eliminated. He now must battle for his life, as the hunters believe he should die.

GET SMART: Maxwell Smart (agent 86) is here again, can you believe it? Would you believe... ? KAOS vs CONTROL, gadgets galore, and all the classic quotes. It is is a fun look back at the 1960's spy spoof series.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Full time stoner Dale Denton unfortunately has just viewed a crooked cop, and a powerful drug dealer, kill someone. He was spotted witnessing what's gone down. Realizing this, he drops his joint of pineapple express, and takes off. This joint is such a unique type of weed, that the bad guys can trace it. The chase is on, Dale and his pot dealer friend Saul are deparately hidding from the bad guys.

ROLE MODELS: Danny and Wheeler, a couple of energy drink sales people, might be seeing some hard jail time after trashing the company truck. The only way to avoid serving jail time is to perform 150 hours of community service. Their task will be to work as mentors with difficult children as sort of a big brother. Let the fun begin.

Most people buy or rent these movies, and watch them at home. An increasingly popular way to get movies is by downloading them directly from the internet. The internet has many websites that offer downloading of tons of different movies. - 2361
