The moment a groups songs are played a rave it is generally considered rave music. A rave is an enormous party that can last for days. Hard pumping music and usually a high amount of drug use are brought together to form these celebrations.

Ecstasy has been made famous as the drug of choice at raves. Rave goers prefer the pill because of its ability to expand upon hard pounding music, bright lighting, and objects in motion. Rave videos usually involve a lot of color and movement for this purpose. Rave participants state that the drug brings upon a pleasurable sensation and makes the music much more fluid and clear.

Rave music videos put a big importance of dancing, and the most popular form of dancing in the rave scene is liquid dancing. The name is based of the motions of the dancer as they perform. Usually only arms and legs are used while dancing, but the more advanced dancers can put their entire body to use while performing.

Liquid dancing is formed from the style of eighties b-boy style break dancing. There are several different techniques and styles that can be applied to a dancer's personal style. Hand flow, rails, waves, traces, threads, contours, splits, and builds are all techniques that can be put in place in order to fully master the art of liquid dancing.

The most basic technique used while liquid dancing is hand flow. There are no specific instructions while using this technique. The only requirement is that the dancer used their hands in order to portray a liquid motion. The most popularly imitated form of liquid dancing is the wave. During this dance the dancer must try to make their body seem as if a wave was passing through it, slowly alternating tensing and relaxing muscles.

Rave music videos are quickly gaining popularity because of their ability to balance motion, sound, and visuals. The videos are made to put every one of your senses to use, enabling their audience to fully enjoy the videos.
