David Archuleta on American Idol is on Thin Ice

For those who don’t own TV, don’t follow pop television, or live under a rock, David Archuleta is the front runner for American Idol. He blew everyone away. David Archuleta is still the hottest one i think. With all loves and supports!

I think David archuleta is going to go far in this competition. I think if he still continues to wow the judges then he might be it. When you?re as talented as David Archuleta is, that advancement can come rapidly. Consider, a 5 Personal Year indicates sudden change, adventure and new opportunities. Anyway, David Archuleta is a nice kid with a big heart. He cares for other people.

He is a natural performer and he's cute as heck too (which means he'll get votes from 13 year old girls as well as their moms and grandmothers who would love to pinch his cheeks). I'm not sure he'll win the "competition" (such as it is) because there are so many other factors that could take place. When he sang "Imagine" (John Lennon's poignant song), I was thinking, "Uh uh, ain't gonna happen. While there are some song choices that seem to be gimmes (does anyone think that Syesha Mercado won’t bring Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You” to the table?), others are more mysterious (what the heck is Michael Johns going to sing?”9 to 5″?).

But one thing’s for sure: If David Cook whips out a take on “Jolene,” get ready for White Stripes fans far and wide to complain about one of their favorite covers being massacred by this guy?and for the Idol judges to wax rhapsodic about how “original” old Davey is because he draws inspiration from Chris Cornell and Incubus instead of Clive Davis and his proteges for the 10,000th time. I love athletic guys lol.

Randy liked it not loved it. Paula disagreed with Randy and we were shocked by that alone. My parents love it. You may disagree with me, but I love that you do. It brings up an enticing discussion and helps inform me of another point of view, or another way of looking at the issue at hand.

David Archuleta is neither Frank nor Elvis, no matter how hard the one true talent judge and the other alleged judges try to position America's opinion. I would love for American Idol to publish the exact vote counts without any Florida or Ohio type fudging. And David Archuleta is not alone — Carly Smithson (who was one time the best of the females) has slipped with 12/1 odds of winning. She slips in third place after Brook White at 9/1 winning odds. In an interview with "Extra" set to air tomorrow, Simon says David Archuleta is his early pick to win the whole thing. He was certainly impressive last week.

The big mystery is which unknown cover of a Dolly Parton song will David Cook pass off as his own this week? This is one of those songs (like Unchained Melody) that is so well known is almost boring and yet David brought new life to this song in a way I have never heard. The judges were absolutly dead on with thier reaction and this kid really is the one to beat.
